Zia Road Running: Albuquerque Business Helping Homeowners Recover and Rebuild
Located in the heart of Albuquerque along Menaul Boulevard, Zia Road Running has quickly built a reputation for helping homeowners and businesses navigate some of the most stressful moments they may ever face. Since opening in July 2023, the locally owned and operated company, led by owner Dominic Gonzalez, has provided emergency water mitigation and mold remediation services throughout Albuquerque and surrounding communities, including Corrales, Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, Tijeras, Santa Fe, and Los Lunas.
For Gonzalez, the work is about far more than restoration. It is about helping people regain peace of mind during difficult circumstances.
“What inspired this business was the humbling and exhilarating feeling of helping individuals and families during unfortunate situations within their homes and properties,” said Gonzalez. “We take pride in making those experiences as seamless and stress free as possible.”
That community-centered philosophy has fueled the company’s early growth and helped establish strong connections throughout the region. Gonzalez credits the City of Albuquerque’s Small Business Resource Fair as an important part of increasing Zia Road Running’s visibility and expanding its network within the local business community.
“The Small Business Resource Fair has helped our growth and visibility tremendously,” said Gonzalez. “It has offered us opportunities to show others who we are, what we do, and how we can help the community. It also allowed us to meet potential referral partners in related industries. In many ways, it reflects the principle of people helping people.”
As the company continues to grow, Gonzalez’s long-term vision extends beyond restoration services. Zia Road Running aims to help reshape industry expectations by prioritizing homeowners and property owners above all else, while also creating quality jobs that strengthen the local economy.
“Our future goals are to shift the restoration industry toward the understanding that homeowners and their investments and livelihoods come first,” said Gonzalez. “We also want to expand so we can offer jobs with above-average pay to support our community and its families.”
The company’s commitment to professionalism and trust has also been central to its success. Zia Road Running is licensed, bonded, insured, and IICRC certified. While the company works with insurance providers and assists customers through the insurance claims process, its focus remains firmly on advocating for property owners.
As an Albuquerque born-and-raised business, Zia Road Running represents the kind of locally driven entrepreneurship helping strengthen the city’s small business ecosystem. Through community engagement, trusted service, and a commitment to helping people during difficult times, Gonzalez and Zia Road Running are building a foundation for long-term growth while investing back into the community they call home.
