Vault Studios
Vault Studios is redefining what’s possible for New Mexico’s creative economy. Located in the heart of Albuquerque, Vault is a full-service post-production studio offering film, television, music production, including Dolby Atmos mixing, visual effects, motion capture, and a robust educational wing that’s breaking down barriers to opportunity. Vault is also proud to be the only Dolby creator lab in the state of New Mexico.
Founder and fourth-generation entrepreneur Kat Bloom launched Vault in 2024 after recognizing a critical gap in the region’s creative infrastructure. “I am the demographic that needed to be represented,” she shared. “I wanted to build a space that didn’t just offer services, but served as a launchpad.” With support from an SBA loan and a shared vision with her husband, she turned that dream into a vibrant hub for artistry, collaboration, and mentorship.
Kat also serves on the City of Albuquerque’s Small Business Regulatory Advisory Commission, where she helps advocate for policies that support local entrepreneurs and creatives.
A key part of Vault’s mission is giving back. Through its nonprofit arm, Media Lab, the studio provides free, hands-on training in streaming, audio, film production, and creative entrepreneurship. The program is designed to serve aspiring creatives of all backgrounds and levels of experience, helping to build a more inclusive and accessible talent pipeline across New Mexico.
In addition, Vault launched Bloom Records, an artist-led label that helps local musicians produce and release their work to industry standards. Whether in sound, story, or image, Vault is elevating the voices of New Mexico’s creative community.
