Haul It Away Turns a Longtime Business Idea into a New Albuquerque Venture
The locally owned hauling and junk removal company officially opened for business on September 1, 2026, serving Albuquerque, the East Mountains, and surrounding communities. Haul It Away provides junk removal, construction and job-site cleanup, move-out cleanouts, appliance hauling, garage and shed cleanouts, and yard and land cleanup services.
“We know what it takes to run a business, and we always put our clients first,” Sophia said.
Sophia and Jose’s connection with the City of Albuquerque’s Small Business Office began several years ago through Small Business Office Manager Ken Jackson, who has continued to keep them informed about training and professional development opportunities available to local entrepreneurs.
As Sophia prepared to launch Haul It Away, she participated in branding and marketing classes offered through the Small Business Office. She said the courses helped reinforce the fundamental techniques needed to build and promote a successful business.
For the Jiménezes, officially launching Haul It Away is already an important milestone, but they are focused on what comes next. Their long-term goal is to grow the company, create jobs, and build teams of employees that will allow the business to operate efficiently as it expands.
They also plan to continue taking advantage of Small Business Office courses and workshops as they navigate the next stages of growth, including hiring employees, managing taxes, and developing the systems needed to scale the company.
“I know I can trust in your office to help with these future needs,” Sophia said. “We are very grateful to have the support and guidance that your office provides.”
