Equity New Mexico Real Estate: Building Wealth and Community Through Property Ownership

Trung Duc Doan, an associate broker, began his career at a large national firm and was inspired to be part of a brokerage that felt different, one that put long-term client relationships and community education first. “Equity” was chosen as the name to reflect the company’s guiding principle: helping New Mexicans build wealth and stability through real estate. Starting from a home office, the business grew steadily through referrals, building a reputation for putting people first. In 2022, Equity New Mexico celebrated a major milestone by moving into its current office on Alameda Boulevard, providing space to expand its team and better serve clients across the North Valley and beyond.
The company’s growth has been supported in part by the City’s Small Business Office. One-on-one mentorship helped navigate financial and legal structures and guided the hiring of its first brokers. Workshops such as “Advanced Digital Marketing for Service Professionals” gave new insights into reaching clients online. Equipped with these tools, Equity New Mexico launched a targeted social media campaign that boosted new client inquiries by 50 percent in the first quarter.
That guidance also encouraged the firm to expand its role beyond traditional real estate. Today, Equity New Mexico partners with local entrepreneurs, supports small business owners relocating to the area, and provides a trusted network of resources for families building a future in Albuquerque. “Our biggest success is seeing our clients succeed,” Doan said, recalling how a young couple recently sold their starter home for a profit and reinvested in a larger home for their growing family. “That’s our mission in action, and it’s the most rewarding part of the job.”
Looking ahead, Equity New Mexico wants to expand its team to 100 dedicated agents by 2027 and launch free quarterly home-buying seminars for the community. As the company continues to expand, it hopes to build on the Small Business Office’s support with resources focused on human resources and employee retention.
For Doan, real estate is about more than transactions, it’s about community. Equity New Mexico remains committed to helping Albuquerque families and business owners thrive, one property at a time.
