Blossom & Barrel: Stirring Up Community and Celebration, One Bottle at a Time

Blossom & Barrel is a mother-daughter small business based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, crafting cocktail and mocktail infusion bottles using premium dried fruits, herbs, and spices. Designed to make at-home mixology simple, stylish, and celebratory, their products reflect a shared love of gathering, good design, and intentional living. Founded in 2024 by co-owners Brooke and Heather, the business is rooted in helping people connect and celebrate the everyday through meaningful experiences.

Like many new entrepreneurs, Brooke and Heather found that growing a business takes more than passion, it takes community. That’s when they connected with the City of Albuquerque’s Small Business Office, housed within the Economic Development Department.

“Visiting the Small Business Office was a turning point,” said Brooke. “From referrals and business insights to real-world advice, Business Advisor Ken Jackson went above and beyond. He is generous with his time, thoughtful in his guidance, and he is deeply committed to helping small businesses thrive.”

With encouragement from the Small Business Office, Blossom & Barrel participated in several local markets, including some they learned about directly through the City. That visibility helped them gain traction with new customers, land shelf space in retail shops across New Mexico, and enjoy the thrill of sold-out events. Their loyal customer base is growing, and so is their product line.

Looking ahead, Brooke and Heather are focused on scaling. “We’re working on expanding our wholesale partnerships and exploring out-of-state markets. Local press, mentorships, and vendor connections will be incredibly helpful as we grow.”

Blossom & Barrel is more than a business, it’s a celebration of what Albuquerque does best: support creativity, foster community, and uplift local entrepreneurs. As Brooke puts it, “Albuquerque has been the heart of our growth. We’re endlessly thankful to be part of a city that truly champions small businesses.”
