Employer Resources
- Job Training Albuquerque: JTA is the City’s premier workforce development program. JTA provides Albuquerque small businesses the opportunity to skill up their employees through free training courses in high-demand skills.
- Workforce Connection of Central New Mexico: WCCNM works to meet the hiring needs of Albuquerque’s employers by offering services such as hiring events, applicant pre-employment screening, on-the-job training programs, and labor market research.
- Job Training Incentive Program: The State of New Mexico’s Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) funds classroom and on-the-job training for newly created jobs in expanding or relocating businesses for up to 6 months. The program reimburses 50-75% of employee wages. Custom training at a New Mexico public educational institution may also be reimbursed.
- WORKforce Training Center: WORKforce Training powered by CNM Ingenuity provides innovative, customized training for businesses, and organizations available at the center or on-site of the business.
Job Seeker and Training Resources
Workforce Connection of Central New Mexico: WCCNM provides job seekers free assistance with job placement, career counseling, resume writing, skills assessments, and applying for unemployment benefits. Also through WCCNM, individuals may qualify for up to $9,000 in Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) tuition assistance for approved training programs or up to $15,000 for approved “stackable” certifications and degrees in high-demand fields such as IT.
CNM Ingenuity: CNM Ingenuity supports a new approach to education that provides accelerated educational and training opportunities in key workforce areas and wrap-around support for aspiring entrepreneurs. Many of CNM Ingenuity’s programs are eligible for WIOA or JTA funding.
UNM Continuing Education: UNM-CE offers valuable learning opportunities and certification programs in high-demand fields such as healthcare and IT.

Goodwill Industries of NM Free Programs and Services: Goodwill is a local nonprofit on a mission to help New Mexicans find jobs in the community and gain access to specialized social services. We do this through our free programs and services that touch the lives of thousands of your neighbors every year. Offerings include GoodJobs, GoodSkills, Veteran Services, Solar Installer Training, Production Assistant Training & more.
Youth Job Seeker Resources
Job Corps: Albuquerque Job Corps provides free career training and education for 16-24-year-olds designed to make students workforce-ready. Whether it’s acquiring job-specific skills or earning a high school diploma or equivalent, students can choose their path and gain the necessary tools for success. Job Corps students gain the experience needed to begin a career or apprenticeship, advance to higher education, or join the military.
Future Focused Education: This nonprofit education agency based in Albuquerque is dedicated to helping young people overcome systemic inequities and obstacles that might hinder their pursuit of a bright future. They collaborate with New Mexico businesses and nonprofits to provide internships and work-based learning opportunities for students. These experiences prepare them for meaningful careers that will better their communities.
Youth Development, Inc: YDI operates the WIOA Youth Program in Albuquerque, which provides year-round services to in-school and out-of-school youth ages 14-24. Some of these services include alternative education, drop-out prevention, leadership, summer employment, guidance and counseling, work experience, supportive services, adult mentoring, and occupational skills training.
Goodwill’s JumpStart Program: Offers free one-on-one job support and employment skills classes for youth aged 16-22. Participants will learn skills for finding, applying for and interviewing for a job, “soft skills” training, career exploration and more!
United Way of North Central New Mexico’s Rising Together: Rising Together is a collective impact initiative serving communities across north central New Mexico. With guidance from advisory groups of community leaders, including the Vision Council and Albuquerque Career Connect, Rising Together is committed to improving school attendance and graduation rates, housing stability, and overall community health and safety. To strengthen educational outcomes and promote postsecondary readiness, Rising Together supports community-driven, work-based learning opportunities through ABQ Career Connect for middle school students and the Academies for Albuquerque in high schools.
NM JAG – Jobs For America’s Graduates New Mexico: Jobs for America’s Graduates – New Mexico (JAG-NM) is a nonprofit youth development program that helps students succeed in their education, their careers, and in life. They are part of the national JAG network—proven for 45 years to help young people graduate, gain employment, and build successful futures. Through school-based and out-of-school programs, their JAG Specialists provide students with mentorship, career readiness training, leadership development, and real-world experiences that prepare them for what’s next.

Driven by demand in Albuquerque’s burgeoning key industries, specific workforce development programs have emerged to provide training opportunities to Albuquerque’s residents.
IT Training Opportunities:
CNM Ingenuity’s Deep Dive Coding: This program offers intensive, accelerated technical training bootcamps in a variety of modern web programming and software development skills. Deep Dive Coding’s trainings are eligible for both WIOA and JTA funding.
Cultivating Coders: CC offers in-demand web development and coding skills in a fast-paced, hands-on boot camp format. They also specialize in facilitating training programs for underserved communities. CC’s bootcamps are eligible for WIOA funding.
New Mexico IT Apprenticeship Program: NMITAP is an innovative apprenticeship program that trains participants for high-quality, high-growth careers in information and health technology through on-the-job training and related technical instruction.
Get Certified ABQ: We are partnering with Google to give residents access to in-demand job skills for careers in technology through the Google Career Certificate program. The Certificates are in the high-growth fields of Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and E-commerce, IT Support, Project Management, and UX Design.
Native Professional Advancement Center: The Native Professional Advancement Center offers a wide range of programs designed to support and empower Native American communities. From their WEX program, which provides valuable hands-on job training, to their CT program, aimed at helping college students transition smoothly into their chosen careers, they are there to support every step.
Film and Digital Resources
Albuquerque Film Office: Serving as the conduit between the film industry, communities, and the City of Albuquerque, the Albuquerque Film Office is a welcoming hub for the rapidly growing local film industry to network, learn, and access resources.
CNM Ingenuity’s Deep Dive Coding Digital Media Bootcamp: Students learn the fundamentals of digital media design and production to build a career in digital animation, game design, and more. The Digital Media Bootcamp is eligible for both WIOA and JTA funding.
CNM’s Film Crew Technician Training Program: Through the Film Crew Technician Training Program, CNM offers students the opportunity to gain the necessary skills to enter the film industry and work on-site in motion pictures, television, and electronic media production.
Goodwill’s Production Assistant Training: Goodwill NM’s free Production Assistant Training thoroughly prepares individuals for film and TV industry jobs and improves the odds of success in finding a Production Assistant (PA) job on a New Mexico production.
